Building work and hard labour has helped by Ben from “wonoopercent” facebook page —-> https://www.facebook.com/wonoopercent.contracting?fref=ts
Together we have done 2 skip bin loads 2 trailer loads of “waste”.
Plus we have unloaded 6 cube meters of top soil/compost and shifted 10 cube meters of pumice and Ben has mixed it all together so drainage is great in the new garden.
I am slowly filling garden with texture and height arranged plants.
Trying to avoid mass planting fo any plant apart from the vege section.
Left 1/3 is going to be mostly hidden by soon to be build playhouse on the new deck area. (build by Ben).
Middle left section is iris and other grass/flax type leaf plants on the left of lemon tree.
Middle right yet to be decided.
Right section is vege/herb’s, with beans and sweet pea flowers growing over teepee made from recycled branches from old garden.
Far right corner has new “red” maple (“acer palmatum “trompenburg” (Japneanese maple)) and current wild flower and sunflower patch. With few sorts of fushias. Undecided as yet to what else to put there yet.
Me and kids have scattered seeds left and right sections with wild flowers and butterfly friendly flowers.
Raised wall will get wooden “seat” capping added this month as well as playhouse will be started.
Section of “lawn” between garage and playhouse/deck area will be paved and clothes line added.
Half the lawn on left side will be paved at some point.
Aim is to make the whole yard a oversized hidden courtyard style garden.
With both outdoor eating/living area side and half lawn with “thuja occidentalis “smaragd” (emeral thuja, smaragd white ceder). or “” shortconifer”” growing into 1 wall of garden.
Back of house

Plan is to extend the whole back part of house with new 2 level covered deck along whole new back wall of house.
